With a clear vision, Morocco has established itself as a model of success in politics and economics on the continental and regional stages, according to Ilan Berman, vice-president of the American Foreign Policy Council.
The country’s evolution is remarkable, with it now clearly presenting itself as a model for economic and political development at both regional and African levels, Mr. Berman explained during an interview with MAP on the occasion of King Mohammed VI’s 27th anniversary of accession to the throne.
Mr. Berman believes that Morocco is walking steadily towards success due to the vision of the king and the coherence of strategies implemented under his leadership.
The American expert also noted that Morocco, under the visionary leadership of the monarch, will benefit from these advancements and progress made in the past two decades. ‘There will be challenges to overcome, but this perceptive Vision Royale will remain very valuable,’ he said.
In the context of Moroccan-American relations, which mark this year’s 250th anniversary of their establishment, Mr. Berman highlighted the ‘range, depth and dynamism’ of this strategic and unique partnership.
As the world continues to evolve, the Rabat-Washington partnership is expected to strengthen even further, ‘which can really yield enormous gains,’ he concluded.
‘These gains will not only benefit Morocco within its African strategy but also for the United States in terms of their foreign policy priorities abroad,’ Mr. Berman said.
