A second wave of dismissals targeting top officials aligned with Ousmane Sonko has been carried out by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye this week.

Key leadership changes across senegalese institutions

The most prominent removal is that of Waly Diouf Bodiang, who headed the Port autonome de Dakar. His position has been filled by Doune Pathé Mbengue, a former activist from the Apr.

Another high-profile departure is Babo Amadou Ba, national coordinator of Pastef’s cadres and director of the Fonds de financement de la formation professionnelle et technique (3FPT). Soulèye Kane takes over his role.

In Touba, Lamine Barra Lô, who led the Office national de la formation professionnelle (ONFP), has been replaced by Mame Awa Ndoye.

The SEN-Pharmacie nationale d’approvisionnement now has a new leader, Karamba Diallo, who succeeds Seydou Diallo—a Sonko supporter and Pastef representative in Keur Massar.
