On Thursday, July 9, Hicham Balaoui, Morocco’s Attorney General and head of the Public Prosecution Service, hosted Ousmane Abderamane Djougourou, Chad’s Inspector General of the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority, in Rabat. The meeting was part of a working visit aimed at exploring Morocco’s strategies in preventing and combating corruption.
The session focused on Morocco’s robust legal and institutional framework, along with the Public Prosecution’s enforcement policies in this critical area. Discussions also covered comparative best practices to strengthen anti-corruption efforts, as outlined in an official statement.
During the visit, the Chadian delegation learned about key initiatives led by the Public Prosecution, including a dedicated hotline for reporting corruption and embezzlement. Another highlight was the e-TABLIGH digital platform, designed to enable citizens to safely report suspected corrupt acts using cutting-edge digital technologies that ensure secure data processing.
