The Kazakhstan delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Kuantyrov, has underscored the strategic importance of Morocco as a key partner for trade and investment expansion, during a recent visit to Rabat.

Following talks with Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, Kuantyrov emphasized Kazakhstan’s interest in direct imports of Moroccan goods, aiming to secure premium-quality products for the Central Asian market.

The visit, marked by high-level commercial discussions, also highlighted Kazakhstan’s plans to boost its exports of wheat, finished goods, and other commodities to Morocco.

Both nations reaffirmed their political alignment on global issues and mutual support, reinforcing the foundation for deeper economic collaboration.

Minister Mezzour echoed this sentiment, stressing a shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations. He noted Kazakhstan’s strategic assets—including natural gas and food resources like cereals and meat—are vital to Morocco’s supply chain resilience, consumer purchasing power, and economic stability.

The two sides agreed to foster a direct, sustainable trade partnership to strengthen supply security, stimulate investment, and expand economic exchanges between Kazakhstan and Morocco.
