Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé kicks off investor-centric session of Côte d’Ivoire’s development plan

The second day of the Consultative Group for Côte d’Ivoire’s National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030, exclusively dedicated to investors, was inaugurated on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan. The event was led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, who emphasized the critical role of private investment in driving the country’s ambitious development agenda.

Addressing a gathering of over 700 international investors from allied nations, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of this gathering as a platform to foster collaboration between the government and the private sector. “This session marks another milestone in our commitment to mobilizing private capital essential for realizing our development vision,” he stated. “Your presence here today underscores the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory.”

With a strong turnout from business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, Beugré Mambé stressed that this forum serves as a vital space for aligning strategies with the private sector to accelerate economic transformation. “Your partnership is instrumental in building a more competitive and job-creating economy,” he added.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the cornerstone of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic growth. He reassured investors of the country’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years and positioning Côte d’Ivoire among Africa’s most dynamic economies despite global challenges.

“This is an economy in full expansion, and today’s discussions will focus on unlocking investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030,” he declared. Priority areas include industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, as well as investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to drive productivity and inclusivity.

The first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.

In a show of strong support, leaders from the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), the French Business Movement (MEDEF), the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) reiterated their confidence in the Ivorian government’s vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to contribute to the successful implementation of the PND 2026-2030.
