Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today in Abidjan at the Sofitel Ivoire Hotel under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

The Prime Minister emphasized the critical role of private sector engagement in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s economic growth. “This session marks a pivotal moment in our collective journey to mobilize private investments that will fuel the nation’s development ambitions,” he stated. Over 700 investors from friendly nations have gathered for this crucial dialogue, reflecting strong international confidence in the country’s economic potential.

Addressing a room filled with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and private sector representatives, the Head of Government highlighted the significance of this platform as a bridge between policymakers and economic actors. “Your presence here today validates the trust placed in Côte d’Ivoire’s growth trajectory and economic resilience. As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in transforming our nation into a more competitive, job-creating economy,” he remarked.

Mambé underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the country’s robust economic performance, citing an average annual growth rate of 6.5% over recent years. “Côte d’Ivoire has consistently demonstrated its resilience and adaptability, even amid global economic shifts, securing its place among Africa’s most dynamic economies,” he noted.

The Prime Minister outlined the strategic priorities that this investor-focused session aims to advance. “Today’s discussions will focus on accelerating investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—to enhance economic competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that foster a more productive and inclusive economy,” he explained.

He also highlighted the success of the first day of the Consultative Group, which attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, and was dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of the country’s development strategy.

In a show of solidarity, leaders from major business confederations and financial institutions echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian government’s vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the implementation of the PND 2026-2030, signaling a strong partnership between the public and private sectors.
