Promoted to the premier league for the 2026-2027 season, Coventry City have confirmed that Frank Onyeka has joined the Sky Blues from Brentford on a permanent transfer.
The Nigerian midfielder initially arrived at City on loan in January, and his permanent move from the Bees has now been activated following the opening of the summer transfer window. The Nigerian international played a key role in helping Frank Lampard’s side secure the Sky Bet Championship title. He made 14 appearances and scored a spectacular goal in a crucial match against Derby County last April.
The 28-year-old brings extensive Premier League experience, having played 75 top-flight league matches during his time at Brentford. The length of the contract has not been disclosed.
