The President of Chad, His Excellency Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, returned to N’Djamena late yesterday evening after concluding a high-profile state visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Diplomatic engagements in Abu Dhabi
During his official stay, President Déby engaged in two key meetings with the UAE’s Head of State, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first discussion took place at the Presidential Palace, followed by a second meeting hosted at the Chadian leader’s residence. These talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and exploring new avenues for partnership between the two nations.
Warm welcome upon arrival in N’Djamena
Upon touchdown at N’Djamena International Airport, President Déby was greeted by a high-powered delegation including Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, several cabinet ministers, and senior presidential advisors. The welcoming party also included the Civilian Deputy Chief of Staff, the Deputy Special Advisor, and the Mayor of N’Djamena, who collectively underscored the significance of the visit.
