King Mohammed VI’s annual Throne Address, delivered on the 27th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne of Morocco’s revered ancestors, underscores a forward-thinking strategy to strengthen the Kingdom’s position in an increasingly competitive global economy. This visionary roadmap was highlighted by Mohamed Daâdaoui, a prominent Moroccan-American political scientist and academic, who serves as the head of the Department of Political Science, History, and Philosophy at the University of Oklahoma City.

According to the expert, the Royal Speech reflects «the continuous evolution of a long-term vision that has shaped Morocco’s development over the past years». Far beyond a mere review of achievements, the Address presents Morocco’s unique development model—built on meticulous long-term planning, efficient execution, and sustained investments—while reinforcing a comprehensive governance approach anchored in stability, security, and institutional effectiveness.

Mr. Daâdaoui emphasized that His Majesty’s address placed special emphasis on high-tech industries, renewable energy, aerospace, defense manufacturing, and resilient supply chains. These strategic sectors are designed to equip Morocco with the necessary tools to navigate an evolving global economy fraught with challenges and uncertainties.

In his analysis, the academic concluded that the Kingdom’s roadmap for tackling future challenges rests on a diversified national economy, fueled by innovation, industrial growth, and technological advancement. This integrated approach is poised to position Morocco as a resilient and competitive player on the world stage.
