The second phase of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, focused on attracting investors, kicked off on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Abidjan’s Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

“Today marks a pivotal moment in this consultative process centered on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,” Prime Minister Mambé stated. “Our goal is to mobilize the private sector investments essential for achieving this ambitious development vision. I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined this gathering.”

The event drew key business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan to engage in high-level discussions. The Prime Minister emphasized that this platform serves as a vital space for dialogue with the private sector, fostering a shared vision for the country’s future.

“Dear partners,” he continued, “by aligning with us, you are affirming your confidence in Ivory Coast’s economic potential and growth prospects. Your role as private sector stakeholders is crucial in turning our vision into reality—a more competitive economy that generates jobs. The success of this ambition hinges on your willingness to invest.”

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Ivory Coast’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the nation’s economy has consistently demonstrated resilience and adaptability, with an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, solidifying its position among Africa’s most dynamic economies.

“This is a market brimming with opportunity,” he added. “Today’s discussions will accelerate investments in key sectors outlined in the NDP 2026-2030, particularly industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, development of critical infrastructure—such as transportation, digital technology, and logistics—to enhance competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will drive a more productive and inclusive economy.”

Mambé highlighted that the first day of the event, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Ivory Coast’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Ivory Coast itself.

In response, representatives from Ivory Coast’s private sector and international business leaders, including Ahmed Cissé (President of the General Confederation of Ivory Coast Enterprises), Mehdi Tazi (President of the Africa Committee of the French Business Movement, MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled (Vice President of the International Finance Corporation), reaffirmed their confidence in the government’s vision. They pledged to play an active role in implementing the NDP 2026-2030 through substantial financial commitments.
