Côte d’Ivoire rallies private sector to accelerate 2026-2030 growth plan
Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé convened over 700 investors in Abidjan to unlock funding for the National Development Plan, targeting higher economic growth and job creation.
The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire on July 9, 2026, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. This session brought together over 700 investors from allied nations to explore opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic expansion.
« Today marks a pivotal step in this investment-focused consultative process, centered on enterprise and value creation. Our goal is clear: mobilize the private capital essential to turn our development vision into reality, » declared Robert Beugré Mambé. « I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly countries have joined us for this critical discussion. »
The Prime Minister welcomed business leaders, investors, and private sector delegates who traveled to Abidjan, emphasizing the importance of this gathering as a platform for dialogue and alignment on a shared development roadmap.
« Your commitment alongside us reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic future and its growth potential, » he told the audience. « You are vital partners in realizing our goal of building a more competitive, job-rich economy. The success of this ambition depends on your willingness to invest. »
He underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. With a proven track record of resilience—achieving an average 6.5% growth over recent years—the country stands among Africa’s most dynamic economies, he noted.
« Today, you are presented with a rapidly expanding market brimming with opportunity, » the Prime Minister stated. « The discussions today will focus on accelerating investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030—particularly industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance economic competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that foster a more productive and inclusive economy. »
He also highlighted that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
In a show of strong support, leaders from key business networks echoed the Prime Minister’s vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), alongside Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s leadership and pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030.
