The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan, chaired by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. This session, exclusively focused on investors, brought together over 700 participants from friendly nations.

“This marks a pivotal step in our consultative process centered on investment, enterprise, and value creation,” stated the Prime Minister. “Our goal is to rally the private sector’s financial backing essential for turning development ambitions into reality. I am pleased to note the strong turnout of more than 700 investors who have joined this initiative.”

The gathering drew top business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives to Abidjan, where the Prime Minister emphasized the event’s dual purpose: fostering dialogue with private stakeholders and aligning a shared vision for the country’s future.

“Your commitment alongside us reflects the trust you place in Ivory Coast’s economic potential and growth prospects,” he added. “You are key partners in realizing our ambition to build a more competitive economy that generates quality jobs. Success depends on your active participation in driving this vision forward.”

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of Ivory Coast’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s resilient economy—averaging 6.5% growth over recent years—remains one of Africa’s most dynamic, adapting swiftly to global challenges.

“This represents a rapidly expanding market for you, investors,” he noted. “Today’s discussions will accelerate investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, development of critical infrastructure—transport, digital technology, and logistics—and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy.”

He also highlighted that the first day of the event, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Ivory Coast’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 attendees from 49 countries.

In response, leaders from the Ivory Coast’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGECI), France’s MEDEF Africa Committee, Morocco’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030’s implementation.
