The World Cup is in full swing, but a parallel football storyline is equally compelling as the transfer window officially opens for business. That includes players on international duty. Case in point: Gonçalo Ramos, the Paris Saint-Germain striker whose future is already sealed in contract terms. Only the signature remains pending at this stage.
The European champions of 2025 and 2026 have indeed struck an agreement with AC Milan, confirmed this Saturday by Fabrice Hawkins following initial reports. “Gonçalo Ramos is leaving PSG and will sign for AC Milan. The clubs have just reached a deal. The operation totals €70 million including bonuses.”
Second most expensive sale in PSG history
Arriving in Paris in August 2023 from Benfica, first on a €20 million loan then a permanent transfer worth around €65 million, the 25-year-old Portuguese forward will become the most expensive signing in Rossoneri history, surpassing Rafael Leão who joined from Lille for €50 million in 2019.
From the Parisian perspective, the deal is also exceptional. Only Neymar, sold to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia in 2023, brought in more for the capital club (€90 million). During his time with PSG, Gonçalo Ramos played a total of 131 matches across all competitions, recording 45 goals and nine assists.
