FC Nantes to play behind closed doors following pitch invasion against Toulouse

Disciplinary panel sanctions FC Nantes with a closed-door match and two-game ban for Loire stand following last day’s Ligue 1 chaos against Toulouse
The French Football League’s disciplinary committee has handed FC Nantes a stern punishment for the pitch invasion that marred their final Ligue 1 match against Toulouse. While avoiding point deductions, the club faces a closed-door match at the Stade de la Beaujoire, followed by a two-game ban for the Loire stand. The score at the time of the definitive interruption (0-0 on May 17) has been confirmed as final.
Before the end of the 34th and final matchday fixture, Nantes supporters stormed the pitch in protest against the club’s relegation to Ligue 2. The referee had no choice but to halt the game immediately.
