Chad president returns from UAE visit amid strengthened ties
The President of Chad, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, returned to N’Djamena late yesterday evening following an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. The trip underscored the growing diplomatic and economic cooperation between Chad and the UAE.
High-level meetings in Abu Dhabi
During his stay, the Chadian leader held two key meetings with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first took place at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, while the second was hosted at the Marshal’s residence. Discussions focused on bilateral relations, regional stability, and potential investment opportunities in Chad’s energy and infrastructure sectors.
Warm welcome upon arrival
Upon landing in N’Djamena, President Déby was greeted by Prime Minister Amb. Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, several government ministers, and key presidential advisors. The Mayor of N’Djamena was also present to welcome the head of state back to Chad.
