In an official statement released from Cotonou, authorities conveyed their profound shock at the attack and condemned the act in no uncertain terms, stressing that it targeted a critical civilian infrastructure.
The communiqué emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating: “The Bénin government firmly condemns this brazen assault, which not only undermines a vital civilian facility but also jeopardizes the safety of countless citizens.”
