Jet A1 fuel deliveries set to transform regional aviation
The first tangible milestone in this partnership comes as Sonatrach confirms the inaugural shipments of aviation fuel—Jet A1—to Niger. These supplies, dispatched from the Adrar refinery (RA1D), mark the official kickoff of a sales and purchase agreement finalized between the two state-owned oil companies.
This inaugural contract-driven delivery signals the activation of bilateral accords and underlines Algeria’s commitment to ensuring steady and reliable petroleum product supplies for neighboring Sahelian countries.
Joint export venture: Niger’s Meleck crude reaches Bénin’s shores
Beyond fuel deliveries, the cooperation extends into international oil marketing. A pivotal moment was achieved at the Sèmè oil terminal in Bénin, where Sonatrach and Sonidep jointly oversaw the loading of Niger’s first-ever commercial shipment of the Meleck crude oil blend.
