Carla Dominique Denizard, World Vision’s Regional Director for West Africa (based in Dakar), described the initiative as “audacious and transformative.” She emphasized that the strategy is anchored in the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus, a proven model that bridges emergency response with sustainable growth and conflict prevention. “Every child in Chad deserves more than survival—they deserve to thrive,” she stated, highlighting the importance of community engagement, cultural sensitivity, and multi-sector partnerships in achieving these goals.

The 2026-2030 roadmap is designed to complement Chad’s Vision 2030 and the African Union’s Agenda 2063, while advancing key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). Édouard Ngoy Wangoy, National Director of World Vision Tchad, called the strategy launch a “historic milestone” for the organization and the children of Chad. “This plan represents a 20% increase in our ambition compared to previous cycles,” he explained. “Our goal is clear: by 2030, we will reach 3.29 million children, including 3.09 million in the most precarious situations.”
Wangoy painted a stark picture of the current landscape, noting that 42% of Chad’s population lives below the poverty line—a statistic that underscores the urgent need for scaled-up interventions. “We are not just aiming to reduce suffering; we are committed to unlocking potential,” he said.
