PEEA 2026 : l’excellence académique de l’IAI-Cameroun auréolée à Paris (France)

On 27 June 2026, in Paris, Brayan Yebga Miyogog, a former student of the African Institute of Computer Science of Cameroon (IAI-Cameroun) / Paul Biya Technological Centre of Excellence, was officially awarded the “African Student Excellence Prize” (PEEA) by the association of the same name, led by Géraude Akakpo. The ceremony took place before an impressive gathering of scientific, cultural and diplomatic figures. This prestigious distinction honours his resilience, academic excellence and ethical commitment to leadership with an African impact on the international stage.
This international recognition highlights the intrinsic value of a young man well trained in software engineering at IAI-Cameroun, managed by Resident Representative Armand Claude Abanda, who also holds the UNESCO Chair for Central Africa on ICT Access.
By winning the Silver Prize, which rewards resilience, commitment and academic excellence among students from the African diaspora and the continent, the sustained expertise of IAI-Cameroun is celebrated. The laureate acknowledged that it is thanks to the qualities (rigour, discipline, taste for well-done work, perseverance) acquired at the Paul Biya Technological Centre of Excellence that he is now a model of success. “On the day, I will carry the colours of IAI. In my speech and exchanges, I will recall where I come from and the quality of the training I received with you. It is a pride to represent the school before this audience,” expressed the young winner. This is a genuine source of pride for IAI and its top management, who spare no effort in placing young people with proven skills on the job market.
It is worth noting that a few weeks earlier, the AgriGuardian platform, of which Brayan Yebga Miyogog is one of the main drivers, won the “TechforTech Public Prize” in the Petit Poucet 2026 competition.
For the record, Mr. Miyogog is a junior trainer and architect in systems, networks and cybersecurity based in Montpellier, France. This digital virtuoso combines advanced skills in computing, digital security and artificial intelligence.
