PASTEF-Les Patriotes has successfully concluded an extensive 48-hour political outreach initiative across Senegal’s Jolof region. Party delegations, spearheaded by leader Ousmane Sonko and joined by Minister of State Habib Sy, along with numerous national executives and coalition allies, traversed all 19 communes within the Linguère department. This comprehensive journey spanned from Dahra to Barkédji, encompassing key areas like Sagatta and Yang-Yang, demonstrating a robust presence on the ground.

This immersive engagement deep within the Jolof territory served as a clear illustration of the party’s significant local support and organizational strength. The itinerary was carefully structured, blending respectful courtesy visits and crucial discussions with local religious and traditional authorities. Alongside these engagements, strategic working sessions were held with the party’s grassroots structures, including youth, women, and executive members, to solidify their operational framework.

Territorial expansion and the opening of departmental headquarters

Following this period of intense mobilization, the local branches of PASTEF officially unveiled their strategic roadmap for the upcoming phase. A pivotal moment of this regional expedition was the grand inauguration of the permanent departmental office for PASTEF in Linguère. This event marked the formal launch of a widespread campaign to distribute membership cards, with the stated objective of strengthening the party’s territorial reach through dedicated, close-proximity work within the villages and neighborhoods throughout the department.
