The solemn ceremony marking the official presentation of credentials by the new European Union ambassador to Chad took place today at the Palais Toumaï in N’Djamena. Ambassador Amador Sanchez Rico was received by President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno in a historic moment that signals the beginning of a three-year diplomatic mission.

The event was attended by Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responsible for African Integration and Chadians abroad. The delegation from the European Union was led by Sona Jarosova, Head of the Political Section, and Karl Rawert, Head of Cooperation for the EU Delegation in Chad.
