Strengthening borders while acknowledging systemic challenges
The academic underscored the effectiveness of Morocco’s bilateral cooperation with Spain, particularly in dismantling human trafficking networks and conducting complex maritime rescue operations. Yet, he cautioned against overburdening the Kingdom with sole responsibility for a challenge that transcends national borders. «Morocco can secure its frontiers, but it cannot single-handedly resolve the deep-rooted issue of irregular migration,» Daadaoui remarked, stressing that transit nations alone cannot shoulder the weight of continental migration dynamics.
