King Mohammed VI has issued directives for the official handover of the Mohammed VI Vocational Training Complex, located in Bamako, to the authorities of the Republic of Mali. This significant facility, dedicated to professions in Building and Public Works (BTP), as well as Hospitality, Tourism, and Catering, was developed by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Sustainable Development. Spanning a covered area of 5,200 m2, the complex is designed to offer specialized vocational training that directly addresses the demands of the local employment market. Its curriculum places a strong emphasis on practical skill acquisition, combining theoretical instruction with hands-on field experience, ultimately aiming to boost youth employability.
Once fully operational, this modern infrastructure is poised to welcome nearly 1,000 trainees annually. It will feature a diverse range of 21 training streams, with 12 pathways specifically tailored for the BTP sector and 9 dedicated to the thriving fields of tourism, hospitality, and catering.

During a visit to the Mohammed VI Vocational Training Complex, Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad, highlighted that this initiative underscores the King’s profound commitment to the welfare of Malian youth, and indeed, African youth at large. He reiterated that this action embodies the royal vision for effective South-South cooperation, built upon principles of solidarity, mutual expertise sharing, strengthening local capacities, and fostering sustainable human development for the benefit of African populations. Oumou Sall Seck, Mali’s Minister of National Entrepreneurship, Employment, and Vocational Training, conveyed the profound gratitude of General of the Army Assimi Goita, President of the Transition and Head of State of Mali, to King Mohammed VI.
