Malian armed forces recently confirmed the successful neutralization of approximately 100 armed combatants during extensive military operations conducted in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat. These strategic actions, carried out in close coordination with allied partners, represent a significant stride in regional security efforts.
The military operations specifically targeted fighters affiliated with the extremist group “Al-Nusra for Islam and Muslims” (JNIM) and the “Azawad Liberation Front” (FLA). The comprehensive offensive included 13 precision airstrikes, which effectively destroyed six combat vehicles and an additional pickup-style truck, severely impacting the militants’ operational capabilities.
These decisive engagements unfolded earlier this week, on Tuesday. The Malian army remains steadfast in its ongoing campaign against various armed factions across the nation, reiterating its unwavering commitment to prosecute these operations with discipline and resolve, in concert with its international partners.
On social media platform “X”, the Africa Corps detailed its involvement, reporting the destruction and incineration of a substantial number of militant vehicles. Furthermore, a drone belonging to the Corps successfully targeted another vehicle laden with critical ammunition and military supplies, hindering enemy logistics.
The Russian Africa Corps characterized these actions as “successful joint operations” alongside the Malian armed forces against armed groups in the area. They affirmed their continued resolve to target and dismantle militant positions and their logistical infrastructure, reinforcing Mali’s latest security news efforts.
