PSG vs Arsenal Champions League final: here’s how Canal+, M6 and L’Équipe will broadcast it
This Saturday at 6:00 PM, Canal+ and M6 will deliver extensive coverage of the UEFA Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal. L’Équipe, despite lacking broadcasting rights, will also air a special program from 4:45 PM to 12:30 AM.
Canal+’s comprehensive coverage
Canal+ holds exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League and aims to showcase its expertise in the lead-up to the final. On Saturday, for the PSG vs Arsenal clash, Canal+ Foot will go live as early as 9:00 AM with news updates and live connections from Budapest. A special edition of La Clinique des sports, hosted by Lyes Houhou, will analyze the physical and mental preparation of PSG, featuring health professionals and guest Alain Roche.
From 1:00 PM, Canal+ will launch Canal Bus, a mobile studio traveling through Budapest’s streets, hosted by Jules Deremble. The Canal Champions Club crew (Hervé Mathoux, Laure Boulleau, David Ginola, Robert Pirès, Christophe Jallet, Bertrand Latour, Gauthier Kuntzmann) will be on site, broadcasting live from the Puskas Arena starting at 4:00 PM.
The final will be commentated by Paul Tchoukriel and Sidney Govou, with Margot Dumont and Dominique Armand reporting from the sidelines. After the final whistle, the Canal Champions Club will take over from the pitch. Canal+ Foot will then host a prime-time special, Late Finale Club, with Nicolas Tourriol joined by Samir Nasri, Aline Riera, Mickaël Landreau, and Tony Chapron.
M6’s live broadcast
M6, the free-to-air broadcaster of the final, will send part of its 2026 World Cup team to Budapest. The commentary team for PSG’s second consecutive Champions League final will include Xavier Domergue and Benoît Cheyrou, with Samuel Umtiti as commentator and Virginie Sainsily reporting from the sidelines.
Ophélie Meunier and Smaïl Bouabdellah will host the pre-match coverage from 5:00 PM, joined by Ludovic Giuly, Johan Djourou, and a surprise appearance by Luis Fernandez, despite his commitments covering the World Cup on beIN Sports.
L’Équipe’s special programming
Although L’Équipe does not hold broadcasting rights, the channel will dedicate its entire afternoon and evening to the final. The programming includes:
- 4:45 PM to 6:00 PM: Grégory Ascher hosts L’Équipe de Greg.
- 6:45 PM to 7:00 PM: Olivier Ménard presents L’Équipe de la mi-temps.
- 7:55 PM to 10:30 PM: Olivier Ménard hosts L’Équipe du Soir.
- 10:30 PM to 12:30 AM: Messaoud Benterki wraps up the evening with L’Équipe du Soir la prolong.
