DRC Opposition Calls for Mass Protests and President Tshisekedi’s Resignation

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, opposition leaders have called for mass protests against proposed constitutional changes that could allow President Félix Tshisekedi to run for a third term.

The Opposition’s Demands

• The opposition is demanding that President Tshisekedi resign and call new elections within the next 30 days.
• They are also calling for the adoption of a new constitution that would limit the president to two terms.
