Tchad : au Moyen-Chari, 247 armes saisies lors des opérations de désarmement

General Issaka Malloua Djamouss, Chad’s Minister of Armies, War Veterans, and Victims of War, recently arrived in Sarh, the provincial capital of Moyen-Chari. His visit marks a critical working mission focused on evaluating and enhancing regional security.

Upon his arrival at Sarh airport, the Minister was greeted by Abderaman Ahmat Bargou, the Government Delegate for Moyen-Chari province. This reception included key administrative and military officials, alongside leaders from the defense and security forces.

The core objective of this mission is to engage with provincial military leaders, conduct a thorough assessment of the security landscape, and galvanize ongoing initiatives aimed at safeguarding both residents and their assets.

During the inspection, officials showcased a substantial cache of 247 weapons to Minister Djamouss. This impressive collection, comprising both sophisticated military-grade firearms and locally manufactured artisanal weapons, was successfully recovered from civilians. These disarmament operations were executed over recent weeks by Chad’s defense and security forces, notably supported by the Chad-Central African Republic Joint Force.
