On the eve of Wadagni’s swearing-in ceremony scheduled for May 24, 2026, Talon addressed the Béninois people, reflecting on a decade marked by resilience and reform.
In his farewell address, the outgoing head of state extended congratulations to Wadagni, emphasizing the weight of responsibility that comes with leading the country forward. “This Sunday, our elected President, Mr. Romuald Wadagni, will take the oath of office, officially embarking on a mission to guide our nation toward greater collective and individual prosperity,” Talon stated.
Talon also conveyed his unwavering support for the incoming administration, expressing his “deepest wishes for success in the monumental task that lies ahead.”
