The inaugural session, presided over by Djibril Mama Cissé, the Minister of Interior and Public Security, commenced on Tuesday. Key discussions centered around the presentation of a comprehensive synthesis report detailing the ministry’s financial execution as of June 30, 2026. Additionally, participants thoroughly examined the execution report for public procurement plans, ensuring transparency and adherence to established guidelines.

The ongoing deliberations involve program managers, senior executives from various ministry departments, and all personnel crucial to the expenditure chain. Their focus is to meticulously assess the implementation status of initiatives outlined in the 2026 PTA. This includes a critical evaluation of the results achieved against the predefined objectives and indicators for the first semester, providing a clear picture of performance in Bénin’s interior ministry.

Attendees are also tasked with rigorously analyzing any deviations between forecasts and actual achievements. Furthermore, they will investigate the underlying constraints that have impacted activity implementation. A core outcome of these discussions will be the definition of concrete actions designed to significantly enhance performance during the remaining six months of the current fiscal year.

In his address, Minister Djibril Mama Cissé emphasized the critical role of this mid-term review as an essential tool for guiding public action.
