Half a century of diplomatic relations between Morocco and the Philippines has forged a robust foundation for collaboration in key sectors, as highlighted by Leslie Baja, the Philippine Ambassador to Rabat, during a recent engagement.
Reflecting on the milestone, the ambassador emphasized the depth of ties built over five decades, marked by high-level exchanges, bilateral agreements, and the strengthening of people-to-people connections. These elements, he noted, serve as the cornerstone for the next fifty years of partnership.
Economically, the envoy pointed to a significant uptick in trade volumes in recent years. While bilateral commerce has surged by nearly 50%, both nations view the current trade figures as having untapped potential for further growth.
