On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, Togo’s Prime Minister, took part in the FII PRIORITY Europe summit at the Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri. Arriving in the Italian capital the day before, he attended the event at the invitation of Yasir ben Othman Al-Rumayyan, Governor of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Chairman of the FII Institute, which organized the conference.

The country is promoting its state-of-the-art Port of Lomé, the expansion of integrated industrial zones, and ongoing reforms to improve the business climate—all aimed at attracting more foreign direct investment (FDI) and strengthening trade corridors with landlocked neighboring countries.
