The judicial system is putting its contingency plans into motion. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has announced it will activate its “enhanced security framework, designed for large-scale events” this weekend, citing “the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal” taking place Saturday in Budapest.

According to the prosecutor’s office, “up to seven magistrates, including specialists from the juvenile court, will be available beyond regular duty hours”. The juvenile court’s protocols have been adjusted in coordination with neighboring jurisdictions “to ensure swift responses for minors residing outside Paris”.

With violent disturbances anticipated by law enforcement and the Paris police prefecture, the prosecutor emphasizes that “immediate court appearances will be prioritized starting Saturday, even before major gatherings occur”. Additional “judicial investigations” may be launched if necessary to extend inquiries beyond standard detention periods. The prosecutor also warns that “any serious offense reported but not acted upon during the initial investigation may later be subject to deeper scrutiny for potential prosecution”.
