Olympique Lyonnais finalize permanent signing of Noham Kamara from PSG

The transfer saga involving young French defender Noham Kamara has reached its conclusion. After joining Olympique Lyonnais on loan during the winter transfer window with an option to buy, the club has now activated the clause, securing the player’s services until 2030.

The deal, valued at €4.1 million upfront, includes performance-based incentives that could push the total cost to €6.1 million. Additionally, Lyon will receive a 20% share of any future resale profit, reflecting both the club’s confidence in Kamara and the structured financial arrangement typical of modern football transfers.

The 19-year-old prospect, standing at 1.85 meters tall, brings versatility to the defensive line. Having trained in the Paris region before progressing through Paris Saint-Germain’s youth academy, Kamara has already made two appearances in Ligue 1 since his move to Lyon. His adaptability allows him to play in central defense or as a right-back, offering tactical flexibility for manager Pierre Sage.
