The Moroccan government is accelerating efforts to secure the necessary funding for the Atlantic African Gas Pipeline (AAGP), a joint initiative with Nigeria. Rabat is now in advanced negotiations with the United States Export-Import Bank (US Exim Bank) and the World Bank to raise $26 billion in financing, according to Youssef Amrani, Morocco’s ambassador to the United States.
