The Kingdom of Morocco has elevated humanitarian action to the forefront of its foreign policy and African cooperation initiatives, aligning with the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as highlighted by Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi during a public session of the African Union’s Peace and Security Council (AU PSC).
Speaking at a meeting focused on refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and humanitarian aid across Africa, Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the AU and UNECA emphasized that the country, under the guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI—designated as the AU Champion on migration—has made humanitarian assistance a cornerstone of its engagement. The Kingdom continues to spare no effort in addressing humanitarian crises wherever they arise on the continent, Arrouchi noted.
