The newly appointed Governor of Lions Club International District 403-A2, Mr. Jean Pierre HILLAH, launched his official regional tour across the four nations within his district, commencing with a significant visit to Côte d’Ivoire. On Monday, August 31, 2026, Governor HILLAH was warmly received by the Minister of Planning and Development, Dr. Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA, at his official cabinet.
District 403-A2 encompasses Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, with five distinct regions operating within Ivorian territory. The core initiatives of Lions Club International primarily focus on empowering youth through capacity building and fostering robust environmental protection efforts.
During the visit, the esteemed organization formally reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to support the implementation of Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030.
Minister DIARRASSOUBA emphasized the timely nature of Governor HILLAH’s visit, noting that Côte d’Ivoire had recently embarked on this vital new cycle of its National Development Plan.
The PND 2026-2030 embodies the strategic vision of His Excellency President Alassane Ouattara, aiming to propel Côte d’Ivoire into the ranks of upper-middle-income countries by the year 2030.
The Minister further highlighted the strong mobilization of various partners rallying behind the PND 2026-2030. He reiterated that the government’s actions are meticulously aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the African Union’s transformative Agenda 2063.
The productive discussions between Governor HILLAH and Minister DIARRASSOUBA have paved the way for enhanced cooperation, particularly in critical areas such as youth empowerment, healthcare, education, and environmental stewardship.
