Ligue 1: one free match per week may soon be a reality
French football enthusiasts could soon watch a Ligue 1 match for free every seven days. That is the goal of an amendment attached to a bill aiming to overhaul professional sports, currently being examined by the National Assembly. At present, viewing a Ligue 1 game requires a subscription to the Ligue1+ platform, priced from 15 euros per month. That streaming service has roughly one million paying subscribers.
