Kenyan President William Ruto lauded the robust relationship between Kenya and Chad this Wednesday, May 15, alongside President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno’s dedicated efforts towards global security and the successful execution of the Africa Forward Summit.

Following discussions at State House with his Chadian counterpart, President Ruto characterized the diplomatic ties as “rooted in shared values, reciprocal respect, and pan-African solidarity.” He emphasized the two nations’ intent to maintain unified stances to advance the interests of African populations, foster continental development, and enhance worldwide collaboration.

The Kenyan head of state also acknowledged Chad’s involvement in the United Nations-backed Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti. He underscored that this commitment significantly aids global endeavors to re-establish “peace, stability, and hope” within the Caribbean nation.

President Ruto finally expressed gratitude to the Chadian president for “Chad’s substantial contribution” to the triumph of the Africa Forward Summit. This event, hosted in Nairobi this week, aimed to reshape economic, political, and security partnerships between France and various African allies.
