Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

« Today marks a pivotal moment in this consultative process focused on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. Our goal is to secure the private investments essential for turning this development vision into reality, » Prime Minister Mambé stated. « I’m pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined us for this critical dialogue. »

The gathering brought together business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan in large numbers. The Prime Minister emphasized that this forum serves as a vital platform for collaboration with the private sector while aligning on a shared development agenda.

« Your commitment alongside us reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory, » he said. « Your role as key partners is indispensable in realizing our goal of building a more competitive, job-creating economy. Success hinges on your willingness to invest. »

Mambé underscored the government’s decision to position the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s economy, which has shown remarkable resilience and adaptability in a rapidly changing global landscape, remains one of Africa’s fastest-growing, with an average expansion of 6.5% over recent years.

« This is a market brimming with opportunity for you, investors, » he declared. « Today’s sessions will fast-track investments in the PND 2026-2030 priority sectors—especially industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy. »

He also highlighted that the first day of consultations, focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.

On behalf of the investor community, leaders including Ahmed Cissé of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi of Morocco’s General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian government’s vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the implementation of the PND 2026-2030.
