Following a twenty-day tour through all nine provinces of Gabon, the founding president of the Party for the 7 Wonders of the Gabonese People (7MP), Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma, delivered the outcomes of an initiative that transcends mere proximity visits. By restructuring local committees, recounting active members, and solidifying the Movement Oligui Nguema 100% (MON 100%), this tour signals the 7MP’s resolve to cement its role in the presidential majority under the Fifth Republic.

Between June 4 and June 23, 2026, Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma covered the entire country, engaging with party members, sympathizers, local leaders, and citizens. This tour, outlined at a press conference at the 7MP headquarters in Libreville, forms part of a broader push to reinvigorate the political party and bolster its backing for President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. Established in 2010, the 7MP now positions itself as a party within the presidential camp. Meanwhile, the Movement Oligui Nguema 100% (MON 100%), launched in February 2025, was created to support the president’s reforms and galvanize public support for his agenda.

Tour focuses on political restructuring

Beyond meeting with the public, the mission aimed to reorganize party structures across the entire territory. The efforts included recounting active members, enrolling new adherents, pinpointing new local leaders, and reinforcing provincial coordinating bodies. The Movement Oligui Nguema 100% also leveraged the tour to expand its footprint in all nine provinces, seeking to bring more citizens into the fold of the president’s vision.

Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma noted that this tour takes place amid the ongoing installation of Fifth Republic institutions. Discussions with members underscored the 7MP’s stance as a party dedicated to the president and reiterated its backing for reforms initiated during the Transition. This effort fits into a wider reshaping of Gabon’s political scene, with numerous groups striving to solidify their grassroots networks following the presidential, legislative, and local elections.

Future plans focus on field engagement

Following the mission, the 7MP unveiled a series of measures to further its growth: reinforcing provincial coordination teams, increasing town-hall-style meetings, formalizing the MON 100% structure, and establishing a permanent system for gathering citizen feedback.

Beyond the organizational gains, the tour marks a milestone in the 7MP’s strategy to anchor itself firmly within the presidential majority and support the Fifth Republic’s policy directions, all while aiming to boost its appeal among citizens throughout Gabon.
