The Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) has revoked the operational license of Financial Development Tchad (FINADEV Tchad S.A.), a second-tier microfinance institution headquartered in N’Djamena, following a disciplinary measure.
A formal announcement dated May 21 confirmed the decision, which was issued by COBAC on February 5, 2026. The withdrawal of the license took immediate effect upon notification.
As a result, FINADEV Tchad S.A. has been officially placed into liquidation, marking the beginning of a structured wind-down process.
The liquidation mandate has been set for a maximum duration of one year, with the possibility of renewal if circumstances require it.
