Manchester City and Nottingham Forest are nearing an agreement for the transfer of Elliot Anderson. The England international wants to join the Sky Blues, and the deal could be worth around €150 million.
Manchester City is preparing to make a major financial move. The northwest English club leads the race for Elliot Anderson and is close to finalising a deal with Nottingham Forest for the England international, who has 11 caps. Forest rejected City’s latest offer of nearly €140 million, but negotiations are progressing towards the asking price of around €150 million. The sale would provide a significant financial boost for Nottingham Forest, who finished 16th in the Premier League last season.
Manchester City holds a major advantage in this pursuit, as the 23-year-old Anderson has expressed his desire to join the Sky Blues. The transfer could become one of the most expensive in history, possibly ranking in the top five or even top three depending on the final fee. If the transfer exceeds €140 million, Anderson would become the most expensive midfielder in football history and could break the Premier League record set by Liverpool for Alexander Isak at €150 million.
