Chad supreme court sets date for Succès Masra case hearing
The judicial landscape in Chad has shifted with a fresh development in the high-profile case involving Succès Masra. Official records from the judicial chamber of the Supreme Court of Chad reveal that the case has been scheduled for the public hearing of the second criminal division on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
The announcement, formally endorsed in N’Djamena on May 19, 2026, by the presiding judge of the division, Mr. Samir Adam Annour, outlines case number 092/25. The dispute pits Succès Masra and co-defendants from Mandakao, represented by a team of defense attorneys led by prominent lawyer Me Kadjilem-baye Francis, against the public prosecutor’s office and the Chadian state, represented by the State Legal Agency (AJE).
The focal point of the upcoming hearing is a cassation appeal challenging the criminal ruling number 018/25, issued on August 9, 2025, by the Appellate Court of N’Djamena. The magistrate overseeing the proceedings will be Judge Amadou Oumarou.
