Following the conclusion of the tripartite Chad-Cameroon-Central African Republic Forum, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè, the Cameroonian Minister of Transport, held an audience with Chadian Prime Minister Allamaye Halina in N’Djamena on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

This crucial meeting saw the participation of Fatima Goukouni Weddeye, Chad’s Minister of Transport, alongside key officials from the Autonomous Port of Douala, the Chad Shippers’ Council, and the Central African Shippers’ Council.

The dialogue provided an opportunity to thoroughly assess the transport sector cooperation between the two nations. Key topics included the outcomes of the N’Djamena Forum, a review of recommendations from the previous 2024 edition held in Kribi, the operational status of CamTchad, the condition of the Trans-Cameroonian corridor, and the persistent difficulties encountered by freight operators along the vital Douala-N’Djamena route.

Minister Bibéhè reiterated the Cameroonian government’s unwavering commitment to streamlining the flow of goods destined for Chad. In response, Prime Minister Halina assured that a positive resolution would be found regarding the situation of Cameroonian drivers and ‘motoboys’ currently detained in Chad.

Allamaye Halina also highlighted the ongoing issue of numerous roadside obstacles that continue to impede the movement of goods on the Douala-N’Djamena corridor. At the close of the audience, he tasked the Cameroonian Minister with conveying these significant concerns directly to the authorities in Cameroon.
