Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, Cameroon’s Minister of Trade, has announced a large-scale promotional sale for consumer goods in the city of Yaoundé.
The promotional sales initiative, organised by the Ministry of Trade, will run for several weeks at the Boulevard du 20 Mai. The sale period for fast-moving consumer goods officially runs from 22 June to 30 September 2026.
“This event, conducted in partnership with citizen-minded companies, is fully in line with the government’s policy to combat the high cost of living. It aims, on one hand, to support people’s purchasing power during the long school holidays, and on the other, to assist parents with preparations for the 2026–2027 school year by making school supplies available at affordable prices,” the Ministry of Trade stated.
Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana added: “Beyond the city of Yaoundé and its surroundings, as well as major metropolitan areas, this operation is designed to extend across the entire national territory, notably through travelling promotional caravans.”
