After winning their second consecutive Champions League title, PSG is planning a busy summer transfer window. The Parisian club aims to rejuvenate Luis Enrique’s squad and has activated several leads, including one for Mateus Fernandes. However, a Premier League giant currently appears to be in pole position for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder’s move.

Winners of back-to-back Champions League titles, PSG intends to be active in the transfer market this summer. The capital club wants to refresh Luis Enrique’s squad for the upcoming season and has pursued several transfer targets. The name of Mateus Fernandes has been mentioned in recent weeks. The Portuguese international, who was not called up for the 2026 World Cup, is expected to leave West Ham. However, the Red-and-Blues are not in an ideal position for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder.

Manchester United in pole position for Mateus Fernandes?

According to information, Manchester United is currently in pole position for Mateus Fernandes. The West Ham player reportedly has a clear preference for the Red Devils for his transfer, despite interest from Tottenham and other clubs on the market. PSG thus appears to be being overtaken by the Premier League powerhouse in this matter.

PSG advances on other targets

In the meantime, PSG continues to make progress on other transfer fronts. The Parisian club is in a rather good position for the transfer of Yan Diomandé, as well as for Maghnes Akliouche. The Ivorian international from RB Leipzig and the AS Monaco attacking midfielder are reportedly interested in a possible move to the double European champions this summer. The combined total of both transfers could amount to around €200 million. Stay tuned…
