The communicator of the Cameroonian People’s Democratic Rally (Rdpc), André Luther Meka, has expressed strong outrage over the language proficiency of Mamadou Mota, vice-president of the Movement for the Rebirth of Cameroon (Mrc).
This reaction followed Mota’s appearance on Sunday, June 28, 2026, on the programme “La Vérité en Face” broadcast on Equinoxe TV.
“I watched the show ‘La Vérité en Face’ on Equinoxe TV’s YouTube channel with great attention. I am outraged by the way Mamadou Mota butchered the French language, his disrespect for morphosyntax and his lack of command of key concepts. It was a true massacre of the language of Ronsard and Lamartine. The height of mediocrity was on full display on the small screen. Good heavens!” wrote Luther Meka on his social media platforms.
During the programme, Mamadou Mota argued in favour of Maurice Kamto’s return to the presidency of the Mrc, despite growing internal dissent led by figures such as Willy Mengue.
