Morocco’s industrial leadership recognized by African Union
Francisca Tatchouop Belobe, the African Union (AU) Commissioner for Economic Development, Tourism, Trade, Industry, and Minerals, has expressed high regard for the developmental strides made by Morocco under the strategic vision of King Mohammed VI.
In a statement delivered in Rabat after a meeting with Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, the Commissioner underscored the Kingdom’s rapid industrial expansion. She noted that Morocco currently stands as a continental frontrunner in the automotive and aerospace sectors, reflecting years of targeted investment and policy implementation.
The AU representative also focused on Morocco’s proactive role in fostering intra-African cooperation. She praised the Kingdom for its openness in sharing industrial experience and developmental models with fellow African nations. Furthermore, she highlighted the strategic importance of the value chain Morocco has established regarding critical minerals, which serves as a vital component for the continent’s future growth.
Closing her remarks, Belobe extended her gratitude to King Mohammed VI for his unwavering commitment and support toward the African Union Commission and its mission to drive economic prosperity across the continent.
