The discussion centered on assessing the progress of bilateral initiatives and reviewing the outcomes of President Tiani’s February visit to Algeria, where he held key talks with President Tebboune. Both leaders also examined the outcomes of the second session of the Algerian-Nigerien joint high commission, held in Niamey last March.

President Tiani expressed deep appreciation for President Tebboune’s unwavering support for bilateral cooperation, which has enabled the rapid realization of a critical power plant project. This achievement underscores the strong bonds of solidarity between the two countries and their shared determination to build a robust, diversified partnership that serves their mutual interests and advances the development goals of their peoples.

The Nigerien head of state commended the swift pace of joint projects, describing the rapid advancement of Algerian-Nigerien cooperation as a shining example of South-South collaboration. He reaffirmed his commitment, alongside President Tebboune, to elevate bilateral relations to new heights and ensure their sustained growth.

Prime Minister Ghrieb highlighted the remarkable progress in cooperation, noting that both nations have entered a new phase of political alignment and tangible project execution. The talks also addressed the progress of trade and economic cooperation programs, with both sides emphasizing the need to expedite implementation to bolster regional development and integration. Additionally, they discussed pressing regional challenges, agreeing to maintain close coordination to enhance peace, security, and stability across the Sahel.
